Hello all! This week we are working so very hard, as always!

Reading and Language Arts: We are beginning reading (3.9A, 3.9C, 3.9Di, 3.9Diii) and writing (3.11ABCDE) argumentative text. This follows up Persuasive text from 2nd grade. In 3rd grade, reading, recognize and write regarding a claim and how to back it up with logic, reasoning and proof. This is a very difficult skill and we will work on this for a few weeks! The most important thing to remember about Argumentative Text isn’t about persuading others to think your way. It’s about being able to logically back up the topic. 

Social Studies: We are beginning our Financial Literacy unit. We will focus on vocabulary and understanding of what financial literacy is.
