My name is Mrs. Keila (Kyla) Williams. I am so very excited to be at White Oak Inter. again this year! This is my 9th year here at White Oak! I have been teaching for 20 years, with 11 of those years in 1st grade at Pine Tree Elementary and 9 years teaching 3rd grade here at White Oak!. After our son was in 3rd grade at White Oak, I felt a huge pull to be a part of the campus family! We loved his experience and I couldn’t wait to be a part of it!

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in 2nd grade. I KNEW that was my dream job and still feel the same today! I am very blessed to have a family who supported me so I could reach my dream. I teach Language Arts and Writing, Reading (my FAVORITE!) and Social Studies. My fabulous partner, the amazing Mrs. Loree’ Tatum, teaches Science and Math!  I can’t wait to see what our amazing third graders teach us this year!

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 23 years and our son is 17 (yikes, it goes too fast!). Our son, Barrett, is a SENIOR THIS YEAR at  White Oak High School and is VERY active in Band and FFA and ICE and ROLLER HOCKEY! We do everything as a family, including Nerf wars, board games, hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking and anything else outside. I LOVE to read, cook and watch The Finder, Lone Star Law and North Woods Law!

We are HUGE fans of Dallas Stars hockey! We love to watch Shreveport Mudbugs hockey too! Our house gets very loud during good games! Our son plays ice and roller hockey and he loves it!

I can’t wait to get this year started and work with your amazing children! I believe that strong connections and communications between teacher, parents and students lead to SUCCESS for everyone! Thank you for reading this blog and see you soon! Keila Williams
