The weeks just keep flying by! This week will be no different. Not sure if you know but Halloween is on TUESDAY (it’s also Mrs. Tatum’s birthday!). 

Reading: We will continue with informational text (nonfiction). We are reviewing text features, characteristics of the genre and learning about central idea with supporting details. We will continue this for a few weeks. Vocabulary test will be Friday. 

Writing/ ELAR: We will write about our field trip this week. We will concentrate on answering a prompt about our field trip, brainstorming our thinking and drafting our ideas. Editing and revision will happen on Friday. 

Social Studies: We will continue learning about landforms and how they are formed. 

TUESDAY: HALLOWEEN and Mrs. Tatum’s birthday! Storybook character parade-student can dress up and bring a book to match their costume. NO MASKS or face paint. Regular shoes need to be worn. 

WEDNESDAY: Field Trip for teachers and students (forms have come home. Waiver will come home Monday also).
